The lake of tears

I stand again by the lake of parting,
Where every bitter echo’s falling.
Here flow the sorrows of endless years,
Unchaining hearts from ancient fears.

A boat drifts through silver light,
Holding the grief of days gone by.
The surface calm, a mirror wide,
Where cosmic darkness lies inside.
