- The raging winds, the snow, the frosty throng.
By day and night, I feel that aching fear,
To lose my way in towns or mountains near.
I"m tired of damp, of endless noisy feet,
Of countless steps that pound the busy street,
While, grim above, in heavy, solemn rows,
